Bob Murphy

Corporate Chaplain, Executive Coach and Speaker

Bob is a corporate chaplain, executive coach and speaker who has presented around the world to hundreds of thousands of leaders on performance excellence, service, and many other leadership topics. His story-telling teaching style combines passion, humor and straight talk as he shares how to become a high performing organization, department, leader and employee.

Bob is a registered nurse and an attorney, currently serving as the chief of medical missions and director of international programs for GBS Institute, whose mission is to enhance the lives of the needy and alleviate poverty around the globe. This is done through short and long-term mission trips to such places as Central America, Africa and Asia.

Murphy has had a 37-year career in healthcare and has served as president of a large multi-specialty medical group with over 350 physicians and as senior vice president and administrator of a 492-bed hospital and trauma center. Bob also served as an executive coach and international speaker for Studer Group for over ten years. He was a senior leader when both Studer Group and Baptist Hospital, Inc. were awarded the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

Bob is an ordained minister and currently serves as chaplain for the Pensacola Fire Department, all 15 fire departments in Santa Rosa County, and Gulf Breeze Hospital. 

Bob is passionate about the pursuit of excellence, teaching and serving others.
