Brian Haas DO, is a dedicated hospitalist, and physician leader who is passionate about all aspects of the clinical encounter, with specific interests in the patient and clinician experience. He seeks to improve the patient experience through enhancing provider engagement and satisfaction.
Dr. Haas has given regional and national seminars on emotional intelligence and how this can improve the patient experience. Dr. Haas has been trained as a physician coach to help lead clinicians who struggle with interpersonal communication to excellence. He has also created his own unique program that has been utilized by numerous hospitalist and emergency medicine programs to assist their efforts in the patient experience.
Dr. Haas received his medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008 and his training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Missouri Kansas City in 2013. Dr. Haas started to work as a Hospitalist at Centerpoint Medical Center immediately after residency, where he has been an exceptionally active member of the medical staff, as a member and chair of a number of committees. He found a passion for leadership and has been the Associate Medical Director since 2016. Dr. Haas has received recognition for his excellent interactions with patients and staff when he was awarded the physician partner award from both the nursing and therapy departments in 2014 and 2018 respectively.
Most recently, Dr. Haas has been recognized nationally as an expert in the field of physician engagement and patient experience. He was asked to join the Envision Physician Services national committee on patient experience and provider engagement of which he is the chair for the subcommittee on Awards and Recognition.
