Jeff Atwood has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership, marketing, and storytelling experience. He was a Senior Vice President for RegionalCare Hospital Partners (hospital and healthcare system with facilities across the country) where he oversaw the company’s marketing and communications strategy and led their ongoing volunteer healthcare service in Haiti. Previously he headed up Marketing, Communications, and Patient Experience for the publicly traded national hospital system Province Healthcare.
Atwood currently serves as the Healthcare Expert in Residence for 5by5: A Change Agency, a large full-service digital, research, and marketing agency in Nashville. He also previously served as the Executive Director of Hope Smiles, a nonprofit organization that develops healthcare leaders and provides oral healthcare services to underserved communities and people in Uganda, Haiti, and across the United States.
He speaks to and consults with healthcare and community groups nationally, sharing insights and encouragement found at the crossroads between his two decades serving healthcare organizations while concurrently raising a daughter with significant health and developmental challenges.
Mr. Atwood is also a successful author and podcast host. The first two titles in his Need to Know inspirational advice book series were released by Harvest House in late 2020. The Need to Know podcast launched earlier this year. He has also had books and products produced by many other publishers including Simon & Schuster and NavPress.
